Banner Rotator

Five Suggestions how to use Banners for best Conversion by Martin Bigler
Have you ever wondered if banners still work as a promotional and advertising tool?
Website Visitors are sometimes so overwhelmed with ads, flash scripts and videos that it really seems no wonder that banners are not recognised and clicked anymore. I do not know what your experience is but for me, banners still work. However, there is some kind of strategy you need to lay out.
Suggestion One
It is a waste of time and resources to put banners anywhere and to each of your websites. Always focus on the main task Your Website must fulfil. If it is a Splash or Squeeze Page, do not put any single banner and no unnecessary links on that site. The focus is here to get a sign up or a click through to your blog article and then to the definitive offer. Rule: offer no distraction to your visitor. Keep the site clear, to the point and easy to access.
Suggestion Two
On your blog or main website put either 2-3 banners or 2-3 Adsense blocks. But not both of them. A good place is in the top third, at the bottom and a tower on one of the side bars. Rule: if you have a content rich site, it is best to use Adsense and blend the ads to match the colours of your website. Therefore, no banners or maximum one at the bottom of the site. In this case use a free banner rotator which shows your banners at random.
If you are more in Affiliate Marketing, combine one Adsense ad plus two or three small banners for best exposure. Again, do not exaggerate but focus on the main message of your site. Adsense and Banners are only there to generate some additional income on ads or affiliate products.
Suggestion Three
Use your site to attract as many visitors as possible which means generating traffic to your site has the highest priority. Write good and interesting content that describes your product or service to the best but without hype and misleading statements. Look at your text from outside as website visitor searching for exactly what you are offering.
Think about the best matching keywords, use one or two in your headline and three to five in the body text. Do some research for the latest trends and questions asked at Search Engines and forums. Rule: be honest, straight to the point and always offer your best help to any theme you chose. Give content, experience and further in depth information for free. The main goal is to 100 % satisfy your reader. If they come back to your site again, you have now a loyal follower. Do not scare them away with unnecessary links and banners tough.
Suggestion Four
Once somebody has signed up to your newsletter or bought a product from you, then you have a good chance to offer them some related items on the thank you or download page. It is there You Can use up to five banners to offer the unadvertised bonuses, a free report or eBook or an upsell product for which you are an affiliate. Rule: keep it simple and clean on the front page. This is your visit card and the door opener. At the second stage of the signup or sales process, you can use specially selected products and banners.
Suggestion Five
It is ok to use banners provided by the owner of the affiliate product you might promote. For me however, it is much more fun to create simple banners in the standard sizes for myself and along my own imagination. This allows me to stand out and to test results directly to my own banners. And you can do this very easy for free online. Do a search for ‘free banner creators’ and you will certainly find something you can use well.
Conclusion
Banners work if decently and precisely used on your websites and blogs, but they do a better job on the back stage. Why? Simply because your prospect has already decided to trust you and got to action on what you were writing about or offering. In the follow up process they will accept banners as just normal and not be offended. And if they get additional value, they will click the banner and download that free report or buy that complimentary product.
